The COVID-19 link above will enable you to read our risk assessment policy and to download the necessary Parental Consent Form allowing your child to play under the current circumstances. If you could print this off and give it to your coach, it would be much appreciated. Thank you, the BYFC Committee. Don't forget.... Bodmin Youth car-boot. Sunday mornings. Priory Car-Park 7.30-11am
We are a strictly no smoking club. Smoking at the grounds during matches or training is not allowed
At Bodmin Youth we believe football can bring out the best in our young members.
First of all it should be something they just love doing, something they get a buzz from, and something that they feel a part of.
As they get older and understand that the game is more competitive, they will learn determination and teamwork, and that what you put in you get out, and that you can win, and that you can lose, and that you win with pride but also humility, and that you lose with disappointment but also grace.
Whatever level, we try to teach them to win and lose as a team and to play with a purpose but also with fairness.
We think they will take from it an ability to focus, comradery, friendship, fond memories, the idea that they are part of a wider community, maybe the the odd medal or two, and a feeling that running around chasing a ball is good for your mind and body.
We believe that football, played in the correct spirit, has the ability to instil important life-long lessons.
Our hope, through playing and coaching, is that they could be better people by being better players.
